About the Illustration

A young woman in bright pink steps out from a small wall cupboard framed by climbing branches. A patterned carpet, flowering stems and slender vessels enrich the intimate setting. Goble turns the unexpected appearance into an elegant decorative scene, with the figure's movement echoed by the curves of the foliage.
