About the Illustration
A gathering of peacocks feeds beneath spreading trees, their long green tails cascading across the foreground. Goble fills the image with overlapping feathers, blue necks and the repeated eye patterns of the plumage. A particularly attractive decorative print for collectors drawn to birds, foliage and the flowing forms of early twentieth-century illustration.
